Paul Y. Song, M.D. is currently the head of North American Operations and Chief Medical officer for ATGen Global a private biotech company that manufactures and supplies a wide array of recombinant proteins and antibodies worldwide with a focus on immunosurveillance.

He is also a minority shareholder and the former Chief medical officer of Berg Pharma which currently has three drugs in clinical trials in the US and has signed strategic partnership deals with many academic, private, and non-government research organizations to help expedite drug and target discovery using its patented multi-omics/artificial intelligence platform.

Dr. Song is a board certified radiation oncologist on the faculty at the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

In 2013, Dr. Song served as the very first visiting fellow in the Office of Commissioner in the California Department of Insurance advising on healthcare policy and in 2014 he was appointed to the California Coastal Commission as a commissioner.

He attended the University of Chicago where he graduated with honors and received his medical degree from George Washington University. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at University of Chicago Medical Center.

Dr. Song is the executive chairman of The Courage Campaign, an online progressive organization with over 900,000 members. He serves on the board of Liberty in North Korea, The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, Physicians for a National Health Program, and People for the American Way.

Dr. Song is also a partner in the Woo Lae Oak Restaurant Group.

He resides in the very first LEED Platinum energy independent home in Santa Monica, with his TV journalist wife, Lisa Ling and their newborn daughter, Jett.
